What type of books can be converted to e-book?
Books of all genres – mystery, romance, sci-fi, etc. – are convertible to e-book format. When submitting your manuscript, it is best to have it in Microsoft Word, which can be easily converted into an e-book.
How long does it take you to publish an e-book?
The time required depends on the shape the manuscript is in when we receive it, the types of services you purchase, and on the length of time you take to review the proofs. The entire publishing process usually takes between 90 to 120 days once we receive your complete submission.
How old do I have to be to publish my book with you?
You can be of any age to publish with us; however, if you are a minor, you will need to have a parent or legal guardian to co-sign your Publishing Agreement and authorize payment for your publishing services.
What do you mean by "templates"?
Templates are "patterns" into which we place your manuscript and images. Each template offers you a unique design, so you can choose the one you like best. Templates allow us to create your e-book quickly and with highly reliable quality assurance.
May I supply my own cover?
Of course. If you have already designed a cover for your e-book, we are more than happy to adopt your design. This feature is included in all the publishing packages except for the Advantage Package.
Will I have to buy any copies of my e-book?
No. You are under no obligation to purchase any copy of your e-book. You simply have to tell your audience where to purchase their copy through marketing and publicity efforts. If you would like to purchase copies for yourself, friends, family, or to sell yourself, you are entitled to a deep author discount equivalent to 50% of the retail price.
Will my e-book have an ISBN?
Yes, your e-book will be assigned the International Standard Book Numbers required by book sales channels to track and order your books. In addition, we will place a machine-readable Bookland/EAN barcode on your e-book's cover.
Three Things You Can Do to Stay Focused on Finishing Your Book
1. When would you like to hold your first book? Choose an important day: perhaps your birthday, wedding anniversary or an important holiday, and pledge to hold the first copy of your book in your hands on that day.
2. When do you do your best work? Block off at least at couple of hours each day, when you are at your most productive for writing. Set a schedule, keep to it and don't deviate.
3. Who will be "your keeper" on this project? Find someone who will hold you accountable for finishing your book and report your daily progress to them. They can help keep you in line and on task and, perhaps more importantly, will be inclined to celebrate your ultimate success with you.
Where will you hold YOUR BOOK'S LAUNCH PARTY?
All authors celebrate the publication of a new book with a launch party. Where will yours be? Will it be a book signing at a local bookstore or library? Will it be a party with friends and family? The sooner you publish your book, the sooner you can celebrate one of the biggest accomplishments of your life.
